From Audio Cable Consumer to Audio Cable Manufacturer.

As a consumer of high end audio equipment, CRL cables were a must-have for my collection. Having used the Gold and Silver Series cables for several years with some of the finest tube electronics in the world, I never found an equal for pure, neutral sound transmission. As a businessman, the company's history was also intriguing.

CRL's high energy conductivity cables were originally developed in the late 1990's by First Impression Music, Inc. FIM cables became recognized internationally for their “tube-like” sound. In 2002, FIM's business and cable designs were purchased by Musical Surroundings, Inc. which became Cable Research Lab, Inc. The CRL cables continued to win accolades throughout the U.S. and Asia for their electrical and metallurgical design and sound integrity.

I purchased CRL in 2006, and today CRL offers a new generation of cables. Purchasing the company and enhancing the product has been a labor of love. My mission is to make these superior cables available to everyone who strives to achieve the true sound produced by recordings.

I've upgraded the quality of the assembly and materials. Each cable is meticulously hand made in the U.S. — using the highest caliber metals, components, and connectors. While still based on the original high energy conductivity design, today's cables are more flexible and lighter weight than their ancestors. I'm pleased to sell them direct to you.
